Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most
important decisions that you will make. You will want to be assured that
your child goes to a school that is happy caring and secure. At Hillcross
your child will build on all the knowledge and skills he or she has
developed with you at home. You will surely want the school to value
children’s contributions and like us believe that the key to good
achievement is positive self esteem.
We can assure you that these values are held in high regard at
Hillcross Primary School. We aim for each child to achieve their full
potential by providing an abundance of experiences and activities. We
have high expectations here, and we are committed to providing a wide,
challenging and balanced education suited to the needs of each child. We
seek to encourage our children to show respect for self and others from
Early Years to the time they leave us aged 11 in Year 6.
We encourage all families to take a full part in the life of our
community, and we look forward to welcoming you to our school. Hillcross
is a happy and caring environment which we would like you to experience
for yourselves. We work especially hard to ensure that the transition
from home to school is as comfortable as possible. We hope that this
prospectus will give you an idea of how we work. Please come and visit

inevitably, you will only really find out about us by visiting in person.
Prospective parents, and others interested in our school, are always
welcome to take a tour.
We also welcome offers of help in the school or with extra-curricular
activities.
