Key Information

Water Bottles & Snacks
All children are encouraged to bring in a water bottle each day which should contain water only.  Children are allowed to bring in a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable (one only please) to enjoy at break time. Please ensure this is clearly named so that it can be easily identified in the snack box at break time.

PE Kit                                                                                                                                                              Year 6 PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.                                                                                            On Tuesday: children need to wear their PE kit into school and they will remain in their PE kits all day.

On Thursday:  children need to wear their school uniform and bring their PE kits into school to change into in the afternoon.

On both of these days children will wear their PE kits home.

Pencil Cases
Children are no longer required to bring their own pencil case into school from home, as all equipment your child requires for learning will be provided by the school. However they will on occasions be required to complete home learning in a book. In these instances children must follow the schools presentation policy and complete it with blue ink pen for writing and a pencil to draw and cross out mistakes.

Start & End of the School Day
School opens at 8:35am and children should enter through their classroom door before 8.45am.  If arriving after this time, please enter via the office. Children will be dismissed at 3.10pm by the staff from their classroom door.  For any parents considering allowing their children to walk home from school unaccompanied, a form must be completed (available from the school office), and permission for this must be granted by Mrs Francis.

Year Group Specific Information
During the Summer term, the children will have an opportunity to take part in a week's residential visit.  Keep an eye out on ParentMail for information about a meeting later on this term.

As part of our curriculum evening on Thursday 9th September you will have the opportunity to learn about SATs in year 6 - come along and find out how you can help support and prepare your child for the tests in May.
