Toys and Personal Equipment

Children should not bring any personal belongings with them into school.  This includes any items or equipment they may use in lessons or clubs such as pencils or tennis racquets.  In almost all cases we have everything the children need to access all aspects of school life but if they do need to bring anything into school this will be requested via a ParentMail communication.  In line with our promotion of reading, the only exception to this is if your child wishes to bring the book they are reading at home to school to read at playtime, lunchtime or in other free reading times.  However, if they choose to bring a book in to school we cannot accept any responsibility if they get lost or broken.  For children with additional needs, there may be exceptional circumstances from time to time when a reasonable adjustment can be made, but this must be discussed and agreed with a senior leader first.
