Spring 2

Week 1 

What a brilliant first week back in Spring 2! As mathematicians, we have started learning our 4 and 8 times tables, through songs and learning the relationship between different products. As biologists, we are learning about plants this half-term. This week we set up an investigation which we will be observing over time to discover what a plant needs to stay alive. As writers, we have been looking at poetry this week. We analysed our WAGOLL poem ‘The River’ by Valerie Bloom and then created our own versions. We have learnt how to use onomatopoeias, similes and metaphors in our writing. At the end of the week, we shared our poems with the other team and some even performed their poem to the whole year group!
