SEND

Nurturing our children to think critically and creatively within a collaborative community.

At Hillcross, we are committed to providing equal and high quality learning opportunities for all children regardless of their age, ability, aptitude and special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND). We value all children as individuals with their own unique qualities to offer. We are committed to providing parent/carers with the right tools so that they could help their child reach their full potential.

On this page you will find a list of information websites, tips and resources to help you support your child with their additional needs, learning and self-esteem.

Children all have varying needs; there are no 'one size fits all' approaches! It is quite common for children to have additional needs that span over all these areas, so select the resources that meet the needs of your child, without worrying too much about the label or category they fall under.

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and these SEND strategies would be beneficial to many children, whether or not they have a diagnosis.
