Week 1

This week the children enjoyed their chosen Trailblazer topic of Fireworks. As artists, the children created their own firework pictures using oil pastels and water colours. As part of the school's 'Outdoor learning day', they visited the Woodland Lodge and took part in a Philosophy 4 Children debate based on Guy Fawkes. As historians, the children stepped back in time to the year 1605 to learn about the Gun Powder Plot and the significance of fireworks today.
