Week 2

This week has seen the launch of our brand new topic 'My Senses and Me'. At the beginning of the week, the children had the opportunity to explore all five senses through a range of play based experiences. Adding herbs to play dough, tasting fruit-infused water, mark making in cornflour, pouring rice on musical instruments and drawing blind folded. We will cover a different sense each week. This week our focus has been on touch, where we have looked at combining different materials to make our own play dough.

Week 1

The children have had a wonderful, yet chilly start to the Spring Term. Our Trailblazer topic this week has been focused on Winter and the children have explored this theme through stories, songs and hands-on experiences. As scientists, we have touched ice, selected appropriate clothing to wear in winter and wrapped up warm for a short walk in the snow. As well as this, we have welcomed our new intake of children who have all settled into their new environments beautifully!
