Spring 1 - Battle Stations
Week 2:
As writers, we have enjoyed writing a narrative about a refugee child who comes to the U.K. In PE, we learned a range of balances, including the bunk bed balance. Whilst as scientists, we investigated how we can hear, as this half-term is all about sound! In R.E. they revisited birth rites and in particular, how Christians welcome babies to their religion.
Week 1:
This week, we launched our new topic, Battle Stations. As historians, we examined secondary sources to learn about life in 1066 and discussed where the Vikings fit into the historical chronology. In PE, we have started focusing on tennis; they loved being outside working on their hitting skills. In PSHE, we explored the different communities we belong to, and the children created a diamond nine to rank who they felt were the most and least important people in their lives.
