Spring 2 - Natural Disasters
Week 1:
This week, we have been working incredibly hard with our swimming – we have already made great progress. When we were not swimming, we explored Haiku poems and started to categorise words depending on the number of syllables they have (e.g. dan-ger-ous has three syllables), ready to write our own Haikus about natural disasters. As mathematics, we have been looking at how to multiply and divide a whole number by 10. We have also started our new reading book, ‘The Firework-Maker's Daughter’ by Philip Pullman. We saw this at the theatre last term, so it will be an interesting comparison.
