Summer 1

Week 3:

This week in year 4, we have been exploring lines of symmetry using folding shapes and using a mirror in maths. We loved science too, where we classified electrical objects depending on whether we thought they would work from batteries, mains or both before exploring circuits and getting a light bulb to turn on.

Week 2:

This week, Y4 embarked on our PGL adventures. We completed so many activities and made memories to hold on to for a lifetime. There were tears and giggles but we definitely had fun! The team members left behind went around the world in their 'Globe trotters' trailblazer mini week, where they took off from Team Elm and took to the skies and visited: Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Week 1:

After the Easter break, we were straight into our learning with our trip to the Shree Ghanapathy Temple where we learned so much about the Hindu religion. It was a fantastic place to visit. We have also started exploring the text 'The Whale Rider' which is our stimulus for our first piece of writing.
