Hillcross Primary School
PE kits must be brought into school on a Monday and left at school until Friday. This will ensure that your child has access to the PE curriculum should their usual day need to be swopped or if an additional PE opportunity presents itself. Due to timetabling constraints (ensuring everyone has access to the sports facilities for the required amount of time each week) or special events, some classes are sent home wearing their PE kits midway through the week. In these circumstances we ask parents to ensure that their child’s PE kit is returned with the children the following day – they will be sent home every Friday to be washed over the weekend.
Trainers for PE will preferably be black but they can be any colour so that they can be used outside of school too. Please remember how often these get lost and that they will be worn in muddy conditions, so do not send your child to school with expensive trainers.
Children will not be able to take part in PE if they are wearing earrings so please take earrings out on PE days or provide plasters for your child to put over their earrings during lessons. If your child removes their earrings themselves we will do our best to keep them safe but we cannot accept any responsibility for lost jewellery.
PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS INCLUDING TRAINERS as this makes it easier for your child to identify their own belongings when changing for PE.
